We inform you about a traditional vacation of the NESF since July 28 till August 11, 2008. NESF has a scheduled time break in the production of weekly reviews " Fuel & Energy Industry News" and "Politics in Russia: power, lobby, conflicts" during this period.
On July 28 you will get the Issue No 719 (review based on events of 21-27 July 2008). And then on August 18 you will receive triple Issue No 720-722 (review based on events happened since July 28 up to August 17, 2008).

A new government was formed in Russia in spring 2024. Sergey Tsivilyov became Energy Minister. The first six months of the new government’s regulation of the fuel and energy sector are already past, which enables drawing the first analytical conclusions. Therefore, interim production results for 2024 have a special place in this research. We analyse the past year in two papers at once, as has become a tradition already. The gas industry is considered in a separate report. Meanwhile, we focus on oil here.
